Spare the rod, spoilt the kid. This phrase suddenly came to me recently. I simply believe in this phrase. As a kid, i was never once well behaved. i never once have to own dertermination to study, all that used to be on my mind was simply fun. Should i not say fun, but day dream. I remembered how i used to enjoy to be in my own lala land, thinking of people events blah blah.. hahaha. Often, i have to be served the cane to get things back in track.

and ever since I'm matured, I don remebered being caned by my dad. Except for some harsh scolding which i equally can't tolerate. Kids simply have to be caned to get things into their thick skull. No much of senses you talk will make them understand your rationale in doing certain things. If left the kid to do things at his own will and not teach him what's wrong or right, and through the process imparting him moral values, definitely he will not be any upright figure in the future.

I personally grew up with the teaching of the cane. it's the pain that got information int o my head, it's the tears that taught me to grow up. oh wells. Anyway, til today I still can't find the cane that I hid many years back. - -""

Sometimes, it just got the better of me again. Self discipline? I doubt so.
